What is happening with commercial construction in Q3 for Vantage Building Group?

Commercial construction on the Sunshine Coast continues to gain momentum, and Vantage Building Group is proud to be leading several high profile projects across Maroochydore, Caloundra and Aura. Our commercial portfolio has been growing steadily, with a focus on quality construction, fast delivery timeframes and liveable outcomes for residents. Q3 Update: Plantation Retirement Resort, Maroochydore

A multi-level retirement resort in a prime Sunshine Coast location, this stylish new development has been progressing smoothly and is being delivered by Vantage Building Group. We have been a long time trusted commercial builder right here on the Sunshine Coast. We have been tracking its progress across our own social media channels. It is now well on its way to having the scaffolding removed, revealing the brand new two- and three-bedroom retirement apartments that will soon be move in ready for the homeowners.

We have been working strategically to achieve a high-end result with a fast turnaround construction timeframe. Plantation Retirement Resorts are a regular partnership in our commercial portfolio, with another resort currently underway in Baringa. This Maroochydore location offers an amazing lifestyle with proximity to shops, cafés and beaches. Some apartments will even offer ocean views which is spectacular and a rare opportunity for the area.

The concrete roof has been poured, kitchens and stone benchtops are being installed to level 4 and the ground floor communal area is now fully completed. Over the next 2 months we are working on waterproofing the roof, pour and form the pool structure with an aim of project completion mid-May 2026.

Q3 Update: Ascend Apartments, Caloundra

Situated at the top end of Moreton Parade in Kings Beach, Ascend Apartments features 23 three-bedroom apartments and one one-bedroom apartment. Each home has been designed to maximise views and the natural coastal environment. These spacious apartments offer seamless indoor to outdoor living and will provide a relaxed coastal lifestyle.

A couple of months ago we celebrated Stage 4 of the Ascend Apartments construction progress. This is one of our most contemporary and coastal inspired developments yet and we are very proud to continue building quality homes in Caloundra and across the Sunshine Coast. Scaffolding has start to drop and we are aiming to have the crane and hoist removal mid-November. Currently on track to have the unit internals completed by the end of the year and if all stays on target, we aim to have practical completion in February2026.

Q3 Update: Solara Apartments, Caloundra

Solara is a collection of just 23 apartments and sky homes. Each was designed to maximise natural light, sea breezes, and ocean views, delivering a premium coastal lifestyle at Kings Beach. We recently won this project and have already start demolition in late October. The project features are most importantly a great location within walking distance to the beach, secure basement parking with lift access and communal amenities including a pool, dining pavilion and gym. Piling is aiming to commence late November, and we are aiming to complete this project by August 2027.

Q3 Update: Plantation Retirement Resort, Baringa

This stylish multi-level retirement resort is in the master planned community of Aura. Aura and its surrounding suburbs are among the fastest growing areas on the Sunshine Coast. With convenient access to amenities and ongoing expansion, the community continues to strengthen.

The project includes a collection of modern units built across three stages and offering two- and three-bedroom home options. All apartments feature private balconies, secure parking and high-quality finishes. Residents will also enjoy a swimming pool and BBQ area. It is located next to the Stockland Baringa Shopping Centre, making everyday living easy and the ability to stay local (no travel for necessities needed).

The project is fastly approaching completion, all units are complete, communal and common areas are 90% complete, we have filled the pool with water and our external works and landscaping will be aimed to be completed by mid-November. An approximate completion date is early December.

Q3 Update: Aurelle Terrace Homes, Nirimba

Aurelle Terrace Homes is a thoughtfully designed collection of terrace homes in the heart of Aura. Homes include three bedrooms, two and a half bathrooms and one or two car garages to suit a wide range of homeowners. These homes provide functional layouts, low maintenance living and quality inclusions.

Nirimba is growing rapidly and Aurelle is perfectly positioned near the soon to open Aura Retail Hub, future city centre, local parklands and lagoon. The popular weekly Nirimba Farmers Market and monthly twilight markets offer a strong sense of community and convenience.
